Price hike alert: Samsung Galaxy S25 price up by Rs 12,000, should you buy it?

In a memo sent to dealers, Samsung announced the price hike for the Galaxy S25 effective from August 19. The bigger hike is for the 12GB/512GB variant.

Apart from the Galaxy S25, Samsung has also raised prices for other phones, including the M17 5G, M17E, F70E 5G and F17 5G line-up. You get the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset in the Galaxy S25.

This makes the device quite capable of handling multi-tasking. The chipset delivers decent performance while playing games like Call of Duty Mobile too.

• The 12GB/256GB version of the Samsung Galaxy S25 is now priced at ₹84,999, up from ₹80,999 – an increase of ₹4,000.

• This iteration of the Galaxy S25 will now set you back by ₹1,03,999, an increase of ₹12,000 from the ₹92,999.

• Do note that the 12GB/128GB variant of the Galaxy S25 has not received a hike, and is available for ₹74,999 as of now.

For those who like to click pictures or take videos, the Samsung Galaxy S25 has a triple camera setup. You get a 50-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL GN3 main sensor, a 12-megapixel Sony IMX564 ultrawide, and a 10 MP Samsung ISOCELL 3K1 3x telephoto.

• Across these models, the price adjustment ranges from ₹1,000 to ₹3,000 per unit, based on the variant.

• While the Galaxy S25 still has a starting price of ₹74,999, the higher storage variants now cost more than its successor, the Galaxy S26.
