Addressing the closing ceremony of the 58th two-day conference of the South Indian Regional Council (SIRC) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) in Vijayawada on Saturday, Mr. Dinakar said CAs had a crucial role in translating the development visions of the.
“The future chartered accountant cannot remain confined to traditional accounting and taxation practices,” he said, stressing the need to adopt new technologies while upholding professional ethics and public trust. He said that the profession had evolved beyond accounting, auditing and taxation, with CAs serving.

Their expertise could strengthen financial governance in government institutions, industries, MSMEs, start-ups, cooperatives and social-sector organisations, he said. Dinakar said CAs could contribute to Viksit Bharat by promoting business formalisation, corporate governance, tax compliance and responsible investments, besides mentoring MSMEs and start-ups.
