Workplace

I have never been to a company which is so bad in their system and management. They have very lousy system which nobody follows and the reason people are not complying to it is due to the lengthy procedures. Many things can actually be simplified. For example to get to Point D from Point A, you have to pass Point A, Point B, Point C and Point D where else you can actually short cut and get the work done from Point A straight away to Point D.

Second thing I can think of it the people working in the company, which many of them are from low education level and all they love about to do is bitch about others and trying to get you. They actually trying to show whoever work longest is the company is the one who has the power and authority.

Third, to get a work done, bosses actually have to say something. This is something I don’t see in other company which I call this as teamwork among department. It is definitely the organization and the management failure to get their people work together and collaborate to achieve objectives and goals. Fun thing said is the GM himself have to get down to the floor to make the execution moving, obvious enough at my previous organization whereby the highest group of management have better things to do than to execute small tasks which their lower level of staff can execute among themselves. Everybody is just trying to protect their own piece of ass and at the end, certain objective takes longer time to achieve in matter of time.

During execution in my previous workplace, people come together when there is issue and everybody supportive of working out the project rather than pushing the blame around. Here even the managers are covering their own departments and pushing issues to each others. Tai Chi in another word I would say is a failure for this place to perform better and bring the organization to the next level.

People mindset and behaviours, ATTITUDE is the main downfall of this organization. I can see people struggling hard and everyone feel tired at the end of the day.

Recognition comes as slow and by the time they start recognizing people, subordinates have actually forget what is the recognition and the hard work is all about. This lead to bad team motivation and when you ask flavour for people on the next issue, people do hesitate.

All about this organization I can say with its policies and procedures are all crap as ever. People who work late and 24 x7, covering during midnight during execution, ended up coming to work late actually gets warning letter which makes the person doubt should they stay during an issue or should they just go back in fear of waking up late the next day.

It leads to the point should I or shouldn’t it? In matters of issue, no matter which ever road you take, when the blame comes, they will try to find a scape goat to be blame in order to survive in this organization.

To improve? I would say it will takes this organization 10 years down the road to change the culture. Nobody actually sees any future staying here, attrition rate is high, nobody is doing anything about it or trying to understand what is happening. If you leave, nobody will say good stuff about you but the amount of bad things will actually fload the whole mountain of Alps. The only thing they will say is you can’t take the pressure and trying to point any bad things or stuff you done.

To survive here is actually a difficult task to do. New employee who comes in have doubt of leaving the organization, some actually stay on due to commitment and people like me, trying to have be positive as much as I can putting in things nicer by saying I am staying here to learn, which actually the fact of stuff I am learning is the way people actually work 20 years ago. Small company I would say, politics is high and motivation is low, the only reason I am still here after a year is because of some certain reasons, some goals I make to myself and I know very much myself, one day by looking back, I will laugh and said, yeah I have been through this ridiculous crap before. I never know they exists until the day I landed here.

Credit card tax RM50

Posted by: pinklady  :  Category: Girl's Talk, Rant & Rave

Frankly I do not know why government impose RM50 annual service tax on principal credit and charge cards as proposed in the 2010 budget. Maybe to them this will help citizen to prevent unnecessary spending and improvise on their money management. However this will not help to certain group of people.

People who need money for instance, emergency as such turns to credit card for help especially the lower income groups of citizen. This has prevent them from resorting to loan sharks.

Anyway as for me I have lots of credit card from the greediness of getting free gifts. Whenever I see any gifts that I like and being persuaded by the persuasive sales person, I will signed up and thinking to cancel later after I get my free gifts. Somehow another, due to my laziness and time, I did not cancel those cards and it is still with me. I didn’t use the credit card much but somehow I still keep it for any emergency usage.

With the recent government proposal, I went to cancel off 3 of my credit cards yesterday. I redeem the reward and call it off. When the customer service girl asked me to fill up the reason for my cancellation, I simply wrote: Government impose RM50 on annual service. Then the girl offered me a waiver for my RM50. To think of it, if I still keep 3 cards, that means I will have to pay RM150 if the waiver is just verbal talk and no action. So to play safe, I still go ahead with the card cancellation. After all, I don’t use that much of credit card anyway.

Running from one bank to the other actually have taken half of my day. I went to one of the bank only to realized I overpaid them RM30 last few months and not to waste away my RM30, I drove to petrol station to pump petrol and drove all the way back to the bank again. After all those hassle, I finally managed to get all my tasks complete by 5pm and now my legs are aching for running all the errands yesterday. Thinking of that I think I am lucky enough, I am not a housewife.  I really salute the housewife who drives everyday fetching their kids to one tuition to another, battling with the hot sun and traffic, paying the bills, queue at the bank for hours, and the list goes on.

On Sunday I went to Gurney Plaza to watch 3D movie. The last 3D that I watched was G-Force and that was also middle of the night that I fall asleep throughout half of the movie. However during the Sunday night GCS was so packed with people that my plan for movie night has to be call off again.

So I went for food hunting instead. Landed at this Xuan Xin Restaurant at Gurney new wing. One of the branch was at Tanjung Bungah Xuan Xin Steamboat. The steamboat kindda suxs but it was cheap for around RM25++ p/pax.

Vegetables for Sex

Posted by: pinklady  :  Category: Girl's Talk, Rant & Rave

I find that Malaysians are easily influenced by the media. That’s the reason why certain topics are not openly discuss in the public. Malaysians are suppose to be conservative because of the culture and up bringing.

I do not know why but I find it funny when I read in the star newspaper that this guy has using brinjals and cucumber during sex with his wife when he has erectile problem after an accident. And the best thing is he has gotten this idea from pornographic videos. It’s just like kids watching tv and been acting like the super hero character from the idiot box that they see.

Husband with vegetables sex toys

Maybe the husband actually find it cost saving to have use vegetables rather than buying sex toys for his wife upon his dysfunctional penis. Perhaps he finds it kinky too.

Which is your favourite vege?

Which is your favourite vege?

But somehow another I think his wife finds it torturing and lodge the police report.

Funny.

Malaysians are funny. We can read various interesting stuff from the Malaysian newspaper. And our newspaper need to be proper and using the word “her private part” rather than vagina. I was wondering which private part when I read the news. Ok, I am slow and straight and lucky enough I manage to get the meaning of what it means “her private part” and which “private part” at the end.

Swine Flu

Posted by: pinklady  :  Category: Girl's Talk, Rant & Rave

Now Malaysia has confirmed second case of swine flu last Saturday from a woman who returned from US. The lady is hospitalized in northern state right now. I don’t exactly know which hospital she has admitted in but one thing for sure is it is somewhere in Penang.

Which means higher possibility for Swine Flu to spread in Penang, the state I am currently residing in. She is in a stable condition and it seems the situation is under control, however I do doubt the people who takes the same flight with her. What if they are infected as well and they don’t know about it? Then the chances of this H1N1 virus to spread in Penang is very likely. People travel around, people drive around in town and there is even possibility to get the same virus if we happen to shop or watch movie together with the infected ones.

So does that mean that we shouldn’t go out that often?

Well, perhaps lets declare holiday for Penang until this Swine Flu is out from here. Then I don’t have to go to work for few months with pay banking in my salary every month.

Seems like a great plan.

Spam mails

Posted by: pinklady  :  Category: Girl's Talk, Rant & Rave

Recently I have received many spams on my mailbox.

Scam artist

Scam artist

Typical scam will be someone out there would like to bank in money into my bank account.

How good to be true isn’t it? Usually it will be who and who passed away, then there is excessive money in their country, they would like to get the money out and looking for a foreigner to help them, to put money into foreign country, so they would like to put the money in your bank account.

I wonder what will happen if I really give them my bank account number?

Will they really bank in the money to me? Or the next thing I know is I am involve in some kind of fraud and wanted by the police?

Anyway the latest spam I received was this lady, who insist to be the wife of Rev. Jemias Tinambacan (Deputy Secretary General of Bayan Muna) who was attacked and killed in Philippine on the 27 may 2006.

The the wife did inherited $14,000.000 USD.  from some cocoa business and find me trustworthy to give me the priority of shipping the box of money to any address that I think is very secure and save in my country. The so call wife will give me 15% of the USD 14,000,000 for my help.

I don’t know any one who seems to be the late wife of Rev. Jemias Tinambacan. Who is this Rev. Jemias Tinambacan anyway? I am very bad with history and I doubt if this person really exist after all, so there I go looking for his information on the net.

Ah ha…there he is….

The Asian Human Rights Commission (AHRC) has received information that Rev. Jemias Tinambacan was shot dead and his wife Rev. Marilou Tinambacan was wounded by four gunmen along the national highway in Brgy. Mobod, Oroquieta City, Philippines on 9 May 2006. One of the perpetrators was identified by Rev. Marilou Tinambacan as Mr. Mamay Guimalan, who is military intelligence personnel. The couple had been actively involved in human rights work in the region. In particular, Rev. Jemias Tinambacan was the active member of Gloria Step Down Movement-Misamis Occidental and the provincial chairman of a progressive party-list group named Bayan Muna-Misamis. Rev. Jemias Tinambacan is the 15th church worker killed during Gloria Macapagal Arroyo’s regime. Despite the repeated killings of political and human rights activists, the Philippine government has not been able to obtain justice to the families of the victims.

Seems like a real fighter he was. And by the way how does the wife knows me? Pick me out from the net randomly? Or did I advertise myself somewhere without knowing it?

15% from USD14mil sounds tempting.

That will round up to USD2.1mil I will be receiving from Rev. Jemias Tinambacan’s wife. USD2.1 mil conversion to RM will be RM7.6mil. That means I am turning into a millionaire overnight. I wish!

RM7.6mil! I am going to die being rich....

RM7.6mil! I am going to die being rich....

I will go to work tomorrow tendering my resignation letter.

Have RM7.6mil sitting in the bank collecting FD (Fixed Deposit) interest while I am wasting my time thinking of what to do with the money. Even by collecting the monthly interest from Rm7.6mil, the interest itself will be more than what I am earning at work in a month’s time.

WOW!

I really wish this is not a spam….,really. The Reverand’s wife is going to give me money. *wink.

Water Billing

Posted by: pinklady  :  Category: Rant & Rave

I have been getting ridiculous water billing into my account for the past 1 year and basically I ignored it thinking that it could have been due to my water tank leakage couple of months ago. After I got all the problems fixed, the high water billing still incurred.

Yesterday water bill came up to RM29.20 (2 months charges) for last month. That means averagely I am spending around RM15 paying for water bill for one household staying alone. It is ridiculous when I compare to my friends who stay alone. They are paying only RM5 for 2 months averagely RM2.50 per month.

I thought back when I was staying with my friends, total 3 of us, our water bill was like less than RM8 for every 2 months.

Hee Yit Fong did betrayed the trust of Jelapang people

Posted by: pinklady  :  Category: Economy & Politic, Rant & Rave

Jelapang assemblywoman Hee Yit Fong, previous deputy state speaker in the Pakatan Rakyat government and had been in DAP for some 20 years has decided to cross over to BN. Her move shows that she is more concerned about herself than the party or the people who selected her.

Hee is a clerk-turned-politician has been upset with the state party leadership because she did not get a new official car when the Pakatan Rakyat government bought Toyota Camrys to replace an ageing fleet of Proton Perdanas.

Over this economy slow turn, such an irresponsible Hee can think about is only over a Japanese car. There is no justification whatsoever on her actions. All these for the want of a Camry. She has definitely let down the people who has elected her. I still do not understand how Hee can betrayed the trust of people over a Japanese car. Such a joker. How can she ever gain the respect of the people?

The goverment should call for election again after Hee has cross over. It is the people choice. Let them choose who they want to lead Perak. Hee’s move shouldn’t be take into consideration over Perak’s fall back to BN.

Legs aching

Posted by: pinklady  :  Category: Girl's Talk, Pro @ Work, Rant & Rave

My legs have been aching badly these few weeks. I have been walking a lot at my work place, resolving issues, trying to meet expected requirements, demanding job expectations and the list goes on. It may not be an ideal working environment, but times like this, we can’t demand to have luxury life and enjoying ourselves.

Lucky enough tomorrow will be the last working day and there we go for weekends. And additional bonus is Monday is a replacement for Thaipussam. For one moment, I am thankful we are celebrating Thaipussam and we reserve it as a public holiday here!
