Lamize Steamboat

Posted by: pinklady  :  Category: Food & Dine In

It’s steamboat weekends again. Big Baby got a craze for steamboat recently, especially the Lamize Sichuan soup steamboat. This is the third time we are going to Lamize for steamboat. The first round was at town but it was quite far away from our place. So we headed to Krystal Point where there is another Lamize branch.

There are quite a lot of people this weekends. People seems to enjoy having steamboat even though it’s not Chinese New Year. Usually I have steamboat only during Chinese New Year and during that period, I would say Mom would have make 3-4 rounds of steamboat just for the relatives.

This round in Lamize Restaurant, we are much smarter to choose a room to have our steamboat. The last round we choose table for 2, the table was small as we are facing each other and at the end we have the steamboat boiling and the boiled soup hit our hands.

I would prefer to have steamboat in the room as there is one air-conditioner in the room. At least I don’t have to sweat it out and feeling hot during our steamboat session.

Food coming..yeay!

Finally our food is here. I realize all the waiters in Lamize can speak Mandarin language. I wonder where the restaurant owner get them. Does the owner train them up or they can speak the language before they look for the job?!
Amazing though…to have Vietnamese, Burmese or Indonesian (do not really know their race) speaking Mandarin to me.

I find myself doing better each time I go for steamboat. I specifically order the dishes I love so that the rest of the food do not go wasted. Prawns, fish ball and crab meat sticks definitely A MUST TO HAVE!

Big Baby and I have lost count of time since we are sitting in the room. We didn’t realise everyone has already left. By the time we finish, we were the only couples left in the restaurant. Feel pai seh have to make the waiters wait for us.

Perhaps next time we should really sit outside instead of sitting in the room. Afterall we have closed the room door because we want the air-con to feel cold. It was a good dinner though, because I have tomyam steamboat!

Britney Spears Abs Workout

Posted by: pinklady  :  Category: Girl's Talk

I’m not really a fan of Britney Spears but I find her special in her own ways. She live a screw up life, she is unpredictable. At times she comes up the chart popular beating the other singers but at times she can get so low that people start bitching all about her, especially her life. She can shave her head bald. She can fall in love with her back stage singer who is a money sucker. She can have 2 kids at young age and doesn’t mind driving with her kids on her lap.

She falls badly in certain stage of her life but she manages it somehow. I like her when she first hit the chart with her Hit Me Baby 1 More time.

Then she started to have huge boobs. Out of sudden.

Then she started to have sexy and wild MTV. Then the next thing we heard, she dated Justin Timberlake, I sort of think they make a fine and cute couple. However the relationship didn’t last long. Then she started seeing this Kevin Federline.

I like Britney when she started with this sexy little body and hey, there is this sit up tips I found on the net. Hope it helps especially to girls with tummy. Consider myself as one of them. Lol.

Britney did 250 sit ups a day.

Her work out routine is four times a week, 90 minutes each.

Warm up: 10 minutes on a cardiovascular machine, such as a treadmill or a stationary bike. But only at a medium pace, so as to not tire out too early in the workout.

Abdominals:50 crunches, 50 bicycle twists & 50 leg raises. Repeat this rountine 3 more time in between weights, making it 600 crunches in all.

Strength Circuit: Using weights work on the arms, chest, back & lower body. Bicep curls, tricep kickbacks, fly exercises and presses.

Back to Cardio and Abs: 30 minutes jogging on the treadmill or exercise on an elliptical cross-training machine. Then repeat the same abdominal workout up to three more times in sets of 150 of each exercise.

Stretch: Lots of stretches after each workout and at least one yoga class a week.

Research shows that overweight people who attempt to lose weight tends to live longer than overweight people who do nothing about it.

I think I need to lose some weight. I was targeting for 5 kgs and it seems harder than ever. I need some discipline and exercise which I am too lazy to do it.

Anyway, the best thing Britney did was when she dumped K-Fed. She should have done that long ago. After all the guy is just after her money and fame. Maybe there is some love, love for money of course.

She has also started to lose weight now after her 2nd child was born. She is making it back on stage, good luck for her.

Lady Gaga Poker Face

Posted by: pinklady  :  Category: Girl's Talk

This weekend I go all along with Mum Mum Mum Mah…
Then Ga Ga Ga Ga…

I am talking about Lady Gaga obviously. Got so into her, she is fashionable and cute, at least thousand ways better than Paris Hilton. If you don’t believe me, check out her video. And she is only 23 years old.

Lyrics | Lady GaGa lyricsPoker Face lyrics

Lady Gaga is like a modern day saint. 20 years later I bet kids on the road going to say this is what previous generation like. Anyway I believe Poker Lady will still sound hip many years later.

It sounds just exactly what I am saying when I listen to the Modern Talking singing Cheri Cheri Lady. It was so 80’s. That’s what older generation like and anyway I still find it cool these days. I can sing and dance along with the song. It’s great and make me just want to move along.

Btw, Modern Talking is still alive today. I was just talking about songs 20 years ago and it still rocks today.

Amazing Paul and Susan at Britain’s Got Talent

Posted by: pinklady  :  Category: Girl's Talk

Paul Potts recently got famous after singing Nessun dorma in the Britain’s got Talent. He was a mobile phone salesman and after the show, he has been invited for opera performance and tour. Such luck to a nobody to someone famous and even has his own CD published after the show.

Paul has a dream…and his dream is to sing opera. He lives his dream by proving it to everyone in the Talent show. Nobody expects him to have wonderful voice or to be able to amaze the audience.

Anyway my favourite is still Susan Boyle.
Susan is 47 years old and dare to prove to the world her ability to sing like a pro. I never know such good song exists until it was being introduced by Susan  Boyle.

Susan has showed the world not to judge a book by its cover. She is brave and dare to dream, just like how she sings the song. She dare to dream and her dream has bring her to another level. She is a simple and humble lady who has great passion to music and beautiful mind. The audience were on their feet and cheering by the time 47 year-old Susan Boyle had finished singing. The unassuming, currently unemployed lady from West Lothian near Edinburgh shocked the world with her talent!

Google Susan Boyle in You Tube!

Susan Boyle’s singing brings out the best in all of us. It’s magical moments as she was so unexpected. She is full with surprise. I like it when she answered Simon,”I’m 47 and that’s just one side of me!”…shaking her bums.

She is cute, she is funny, she is humble and I like her a lot. I wish her all the best and hopefully she will win in this season.

Before & After

Mylo always love weekends. He knows when is his bathing time. I am sure he would like to have a fresh bath after a whole long week stinks. He knows how to go in the bathroom himself and asking for a bath.

He just climbed to the top of the toilet sit and wait there while the water flush down on him.

After the 15 min bath, Mylo got his fur trimmed. Usually he will go to the pet shop for grooming. It costs me around RM65-Rm80 depending on which pet shop he goes to. Anyway I feel like doing the grooming myself nowadays, to save cost and money of course.

So this is how Mylo looks like before and after trim.

I think I can become dog barber already. After all don’t you think I do a good job?
He looks just like after professional grooming from the shop. I guess I will just cut his hair the next round it grows rather than spending money at the dog shop.

Perseverance

There is this one quote I picked up recently and it is meaningful to me.

“I might not be there yet, but I am better than yesterday”

Savage Chickens

Savage Chickens

Chicken Suckage

Chicken Suckage

In times of difficulty, perseverance and patient play an important role in my life. Whatever keeps me going or get me going, I need to keep up with the momentum and never try to lose it. Things may be hard at this point of time, as I constantly remind myself but I believe the difficult phrases will past as long as I hold on.

However, the minutes and seconds holding on seems to pass by slowly. Time seems to pass by slower then it used to be. Maybe this is a test to see how better and stronger will I be.

Am I? Will I?

I am shooting for the moon now. Procrastination action will buy me nothing. After all saints are sinners who kept going.

Sunway Hotel Training

Posted by: pinklady  :  Category: Pro @ Work

Woke up a slightly 15minutes late than usual days. I am going to training in Sunway hotel for 2 days. Sunway Hotel is in town, so I have to drive to town to attend the training through Coastal Highway. I seldom drive pass town during working hours, there is massive jam especially after passing the highway.

I can see many blury faces and I am sure I am one of them. Surely Monday is not a good start for working day.

After 30 minutes drive, I have finally reached my destination. I am going to be here for the whole 2 days. Sitting in the room and listening to valuable talk for audit knowledge. Sigh.

The trainer has been hired from external to educate us. He is well experience in auditing and do provide us many good examples. There are many things to learn from him.

The best thing I like about hotel training is the food provided. Buffet for lunch! Yummy yummy… The pudding and the jelly are the best. Couldn’t really stop eating and munching throughout the lunch time. Guess I will be adding additional few kilos to my fats!

Tomorrow is Monday. Today is the last rest day for me, as usual, I don’t really fancy Sundays these days.

Big Baby proposed to have steamboat for dinner today at Nagore Road Penang. The last time I remembered having steamboat was during Chinese New Year with my family.

We went to Spicy Girl Restaurant. The owner seems to come from China and opened a restaurant here, however how true is that I am not very sure.

We went to for steamboat at around 6 in the evening. So there wasn’t anyone as it was too early for dinner. Big Baby and I got a room for ourselves in the restaurant. The best thing in the room is that there is even a toilet inside!

I went out to search for the bathroom while Big Baby ordered the food. When I asked the waitress she was telling me there is a toilet inside the room I was in just now. I find it different to have a toilet inside the room I am eating. The toilet is small and fully occupy and due to lack of space, they even have place the sink just right on top of the toilet bowl!

The dishes for the steamboat need to be order specifically. Usually the ones I have is the steamboat buffet where we can pick the dishes place infront of the counter.

The price is only RM40 plus for 2 person. So it’s about RM20 per pax.

For steamboat buffet, you can eat anything you want and as much as you want for RM20 per pax. So in my opinion, going for steamboat buffet is much more worth it but sometimes for a change of environment and style, you might want to try Spicy Girl Restaurant.

Having my 30 year old moles removed

Posted by: pinklady  :  Category: Girl's Talk, Trendy Fashion & Shop It Out

Today is my historical MOLES REMOVAL DAY.

I went to Bukit Jambul complex, still debating with my mind if I really should remove my moles. I went around Bukit Jambul Complex to search for the shop I went last week. I did some research last week to remove my mole.I couldn’t find many beauty shop that actually do a mole removal with reasonable price.

Last week, there was this Ping Beauty & Slimming Centre that I went to check and the lady there measured my 4 moles and told me that 1mm mole will cost me RM30 and 2mm mole RM50 and so on. After measuring my 4 moles, she told me that all the moles cost RM120.

When I went back to the shop today, the lady there, I would presume her name is Syerine Tan by the name card place on the table. She told me that one of my mole is big so that will cost me RM50 for one mole instead of RM30.

So I started to questioned her since she told me last week that the particular mole is only RM30 instead of RM50. And her reply is mole can eventually grow bigger. I asked her back how can my mole grow so much bigger in 1 week time when I already have that mole for so many years in my life. I find her very unreasonable. And she told me that it’s up to you if you want to remove your mole, you have to pay for the price that I am asking. If not, then you can go to away.

Really, she is such a dumb person. I was very pissed and decided not to have my mole remove at her shop. Before I left, I told her to think about her own statement, she is very unreasonable as my mole can grow so much bigger in 1 week time and she isn’t honest in doing business. I really felt like throwing my histy fist right to her dumb face at that point of time. What a big loser and sucker for money.

Despite the bad experience, I walked down BJ to look for other beauty shops that do move removal with reasonable price. I saw this shop name YIYI at level 3 and decided to walk in to ask.

Yiyi Beauty And Slimming Centre

There are two ladies at this shop and she told me that since I am getting a few mole removes at once, she will give me discount price and guess what. It is a total of RM40 for 4 moles! Which means each mole removal will cost me only RM10!

The lady also took her time explaining to me that moles are toxic to the body and certain mole may eventually lead to cancer if the mole starts to grow bigger. She also explained that after the treatment, the moles will need 1 week recovery period and in the beginning, it may grow redish. In a week time, the mole will slowly peel off and recover itself.

I was happy with the treatment. Afterall she did a good job and let’s see how my face looks like after 1 week time.

Moles

Posted by: pinklady  :  Category: Girl's Talk

Have you ever wonder what the moles on your body and face mean?

My friend told me her boyfriend has a mole on the eyebrow and that means he is hiding the gold in the bushes and going to get rich in the future but as of this moment, he hasn’t turn into a millionaire yet. So perhaps in the future he will be rich. Then I start questioning about the moles on my face.

I have total of 4 small moles on my face. Very tiny and not really noticeable but if you take a good look at it, you will be able to see some tiny moles there. When I asked her what the moles under my eyes mean, she told me that it’s famous mole. One of the Chinese celebrity has it. I has forgotten the name that she mentioned to me. Not that I am into Chinese celebrities anyway. I don’t know them and couldn’t be much bothered.

Anyway when I checked on some mole resources, those moles are not really good moles. If you believe in Bazi and Chinese traditional face reading, you will know that these moles might be bad moles. Speaking of Joey Yap for instance, a believer in Bazi and a preacher for moles. He even published a book about moles Mian Xiang Discover Face Reading. So referring to his book, my moles are not really good moles. So the question now is SHOULD I REMOVE MY MOLES?

Face Moles

BLACK colored words are negative

My moles have been with me for ages. To remove them will be like taking something belonging to me for so long away. I passed by some beauty shops during the weekends. To remove 1 mole- 1mm will cost RM30. 2mm mole will be different in pricing, additional RM10 and so on. So to remove 4 moles will basically cost me RM120?

Wow. Expensive.

Then I remembered my colleague Ah Gan did his own mole removal. His wife bought him a bottle of mole remover chemical and I saw him touching it on his mole at work. Lol. I remembered asking him why did he wants to remove his mole. Maybe he has been reading Joey Yap. Yeah, I guess he did.

Anyway he did it cheaply. One bottle of chemical costs basically less than RM50 and he has been touch up many moles on his hands. I didn’t really notice so many moles on his hand until he showed me. He is “A Mole Man”.

Well, I am still battling whether should I remove my mole or not? Perhaps lets try one.

And I will try it on this weekend. :)
