Faces Steak Garden

Faces Steak Garden is the best recommended place if you want to have cheap western food. The place is at Tanjung Tokong just beside the nasi kandar shop.

I went there during the weekend, ordered Grilled NZ Sirloin Steak dressed with black pepper sauce. It cost only RM13.90 for steak, quite reasonable price, isn’t it?

And the specialty of all is the drinks serve at Faces. The big fruit juice cost between Rm4.80- RM6.50 for regular and large size.

Love Fruit Juice & David Beckham Fruit Juice

The drinks come in funny names as well. They name most of it according to celebrities name such as David Beckham fruit juice, Michelle Yeoh fruit juice, Andy Lau fruit juice, Arnold Schwarzenegger fruit juice and so on. The drink I choose was Love fruit juice coming from mixture of guava, orange, pineapple and mint.

I was thinking if I ever gonna get stomachache drinking so much mixture of fruits into one drink. But looks like I am still fine after that.

Faces Steak Garden restaurant has been there for many years. I remembered having celebrations with my friends there 5 years ago.

It is a place which holds many sweet and sad memories.

Spam mails

Posted by: pinklady  :  Category: Girl's Talk, Rant & Rave

Recently I have received many spams on my mailbox.

Scam artist

Scam artist

Typical scam will be someone out there would like to bank in money into my bank account.

How good to be true isn’t it? Usually it will be who and who passed away, then there is excessive money in their country, they would like to get the money out and looking for a foreigner to help them, to put money into foreign country, so they would like to put the money in your bank account.

I wonder what will happen if I really give them my bank account number?

Will they really bank in the money to me? Or the next thing I know is I am involve in some kind of fraud and wanted by the police?

Anyway the latest spam I received was this lady, who insist to be the wife of Rev. Jemias Tinambacan (Deputy Secretary General of Bayan Muna) who was attacked and killed in Philippine on the 27 may 2006.

The the wife did inherited $14,000.000 USD.  from some cocoa business and find me trustworthy to give me the priority of shipping the box of money to any address that I think is very secure and save in my country. The so call wife will give me 15% of the USD 14,000,000 for my help.

I don’t know any one who seems to be the late wife of Rev. Jemias Tinambacan. Who is this Rev. Jemias Tinambacan anyway? I am very bad with history and I doubt if this person really exist after all, so there I go looking for his information on the net.

Ah ha…there he is….

The Asian Human Rights Commission (AHRC) has received information that Rev. Jemias Tinambacan was shot dead and his wife Rev. Marilou Tinambacan was wounded by four gunmen along the national highway in Brgy. Mobod, Oroquieta City, Philippines on 9 May 2006. One of the perpetrators was identified by Rev. Marilou Tinambacan as Mr. Mamay Guimalan, who is military intelligence personnel. The couple had been actively involved in human rights work in the region. In particular, Rev. Jemias Tinambacan was the active member of Gloria Step Down Movement-Misamis Occidental and the provincial chairman of a progressive party-list group named Bayan Muna-Misamis. Rev. Jemias Tinambacan is the 15th church worker killed during Gloria Macapagal Arroyo’s regime. Despite the repeated killings of political and human rights activists, the Philippine government has not been able to obtain justice to the families of the victims.

Seems like a real fighter he was. And by the way how does the wife knows me? Pick me out from the net randomly? Or did I advertise myself somewhere without knowing it?

15% from USD14mil sounds tempting.

That will round up to USD2.1mil I will be receiving from Rev. Jemias Tinambacan’s wife. USD2.1 mil conversion to RM will be RM7.6mil. That means I am turning into a millionaire overnight. I wish!

RM7.6mil! I am going to die being rich....

RM7.6mil! I am going to die being rich....

I will go to work tomorrow tendering my resignation letter.

Have RM7.6mil sitting in the bank collecting FD (Fixed Deposit) interest while I am wasting my time thinking of what to do with the money. Even by collecting the monthly interest from Rm7.6mil, the interest itself will be more than what I am earning at work in a month’s time.

WOW!

I really wish this is not a spam….,really. The Reverand’s wife is going to give me money. *wink.

Another one into the family

Cute Basset hound

Cute Basset hound

Yesterday, we went to Lawrence place to check out the little puppies. We occasionally go to pet shop to see dogs. It is more sort of a hobby nowadays.

There are few cute puppies at Lawrence’s place. One black coffee Poodle and one Chi Hua Hua. The Chi Hua Hua is rare from any other Chi Hua Hua that I’ve ever seen. She is so quiet! Chi Hua Hua is usually very noisy and a pain on the neck but this one is different. She doesn’t bark or make any sound at all. Strange. I wonder if she is really a Chi Hua Hua. She is grey in colour anyway and the typical Chi Hua Hua we usually find is brown in colour.

We saw friendly Poodle at Chew Thean Yang too last week. She is friendly and likes to play around. Unfortunately someone else has bought her when we went to see her again after 2 days.

Anyway Big Baby and I decided we won’t be getting another dog into the family at this moment. We are so busy with our work and furthermore with current economy situation, we would prefer to save money for the rainy days. Somehow we rarely have much time and it won’t be a suitable time to have another dog now even though we would really like to have another friend for Mylo Boy.

Guess Mylo Boy has to wait. And I don’t think he has any problem to wait for that, he seems to be getting used to having everything for himself and playing alone.

Life Expectancy

Posted by: pinklady  :  Category: Girl's Talk

I know I will die at the age of 76. If everything goes well, yes 76 will be it.

Ever wonder how I know?  Because I just checked out PlaBox Real Age

PlaBox Real Age

PlaBox Real Age

The test basically suggest that I am few years younger than my real age. Sounds good isn’t it? Just check on some of the questions and answer it honestly. That also shows my life expectancy until 76.7 years old.

Guess I wouldn’t be living pass my 80 years old birthday celebration but it’s all right.

I am pretty satisfied with 76, if life throughout the years are comfortable and full with happiness. That’s all that matters. There is no point living till 100 if my life is full with sadness.

I wonder if they have a life expectancy test for dog? Need to try one for Mylo Boy too.

I just made USD970!

Adult flirting

Is it common for adult flirting with each other?

Men and women flirt whether in the office, out of office, during social communication but how offensive can it be to a relationship when your partner is caught flirting with the opposite sex?

An estimated 99% of communication in flirting is non verbal where the bodies are the ones doing the talking. Adult flirting is not something unusual these days. Some people say it’s nothing wrong to flirts as long as you do not do anything wrong to your relationship, if you are involve in one. If you are single, you are scoot free, flirt with all your might, you are doing no wrong.

Adult flirting might be good and bad at the same time. It is best when it is resulted to free booze at the clubs, exceptional service in the restaurant or you can odd waive speeding ticket. Adult flirting can makes you feel good and give us endorphins rush and smile to our face as long as it is not off the limits. But adult flirting can be dangerous too when it sends the wrong signal to the opposite sex.

I am not bias to adult flirting but when someone is involve in a relationship, I would best advice the person to stay away from flirting. Harm can be cause without you even realising it. One thing may lead to another and by the time you realise it might be too late to pull away.  It may also bring disharmony and tense to your current relationship and risking in another third party involving in your relationship. Wrong place, wrong time and wrong person.

Most of the adult flirting response initiates from women. Someone told me before if you belong to another person, the more the woman wants to flirt and get you to be interested in her. Guess maybe women like competition or they couldn’t stand to see another woman getting a good man. I know women who only go after married men. They say married men or attached men are more reliable but how true is that is a question to ponder.

I strongly against adult flirting when it can break another person relationship. How mature is men to understand this is depending on the individual itself. Therefore when it comes to choose a partner in a relationship, I will be extra cautious and do my best to understand my partner before engaging in a relationship with him.

I read it in a book that men generally dense when it comes to interpreting signals. They tend to mistake friendliness and smiling for sexual interest. Maybe because they simply see world in more sexual terms than women or they have 20 times more testosterone than women.  That might be one reason why men having difficulty in finding potential mates. On the other hand, older men usually try to attract young women by trying to show how successful is he or showers her with lots of gifts.  I met before older men who try to flirt with me at work. Usually I will just ignore them so that I don’t create lots of hassle at work or making them misunderstood me. There was few times at my previous work place where my higher management manager tried to date me for lunch several times. I rejected him with respect.

I would still say it depends on individual as they have the option to choose to involve in adult flirting or vice versa. It’s always up to them and they should not make any excuse saying that the other sex started the adult flirting with them and invite them to join in. It is always up to the individual to choose as they have the option to involve in the flirt or pull away.

As such, I do encourage adult flirting among singles. It will tend to spark the relationship before they step in. Big Baby and I flirt a lot during our courtship. We always text each other and waiting for the other party to response. The moment of waiting just send chills all over to my body as I will be wondering what he has to say at the other end. He, usually make me smiles and laugh reading his messages. That’s how I fall in love with him, yep…adult flirting works, on the good side.

It keeps the romance burning, and it should be continue to generate eternal spark to your relationship.

International Women’s Day

Posted by: pinklady  :  Category: Economy & Politic, Girl's Talk

It’s 8th March….It’s International Women’s Day!

Since 1910 women have been more successful and their voices are being heard. They are allow to vote and attend meetings. Today we even have great women who are successful leaders in politics and able to lead the country as well as men.

The idea of International Women Day comes from working women who table the meetings, the woman by the name of Clara Zetkin (Leader of the ‘Women’s Office’ for the Social Democratic Party in Germany) proposed that every year in every country there should be a celebration on the same day – a Women’s Day – to press for their demands. There’s where the International Women Day kicked off.

I’m just wondering do we have International Men’s Day?

I was just telling Big Baby that he didn’t wish me “Happy International Women Day”. Sigh.
And he gave me that look full with million questions in his mind.

Today 8th March is a memorable date to remember.

It’s also the date where Pakatan rule over. Today is the 1st year of anniversary for Pakatan Rakyat in Penang. Victory for Pakatan Rakyat is a good start but it isn’t good enough to celebrate 8th March 2009 for its first year anniversary.

We have lost Perak. Thanks to Hee Yit Fung. I just read in the newspaper today that she appeared in Mercedes Benz with her husband at the office but was forced to leave within 45min. People are definitely cursing her and scolding her everyday. Looks like Hee has got a better deal, rather than a Camry, she seemed to have been seen around in Mercedes Benz.

I don’t think she ought to be respect or will she ever gain the people respect to her. For one reason, she is not the best role model in International Women’s Day today. She is known betraying the people trust.  Seems like the people in the market also boycott her parents by not selling them vegetables and fishes in the market.

Well, I am sure she has seen all these coming.

Anyway still, Happy International Women’s Day…

MY BOSS AND I

Posted by: pinklady  :  Category: Pro @ Work, Travelling

I read an article about MY BOSS AND I.

When I Take a long time to finish, I am slow,
When my boss takes a long time, he is thorough
When I don’t do it, I am lazy,
When my boss does not do it, he is busy,

When I do something without being told,
I am trying to be smart,
When my boss does the same, he takes the initiative!

When I please my boss, I am apple polishing,
When my boss pleases his boss, he is cooperating,

When I make a mistake, you’re an idiot.
When my boss makes a mistake, he’s only human..

When I am out of the office,
I am wandering around.
When my boss is out of the office, he’s on business.

When I am on a day off sick,I am always sick.
When my boss is a day off sick, he must be very ill.

When I apply for leave,
I must be going for an interview
When my boss applies for leave, it’s because he’s overworked

When I do good, my boss never remembers,
When I do wrong, he never forgets

Funny but it’s true………………:)

Penang Bridge International Marathon

Posted by: pinklady  :  Category: Girl's Talk

Penang Bridge marathon run is coming again this year on 22nd November 2009 (Sunday). I haven’t been to a Penang Bridge marathon run before, so this year I am thinking to join in the fun. Not much of a runner, but I guess I can jog and chat with friends when doing the run. At least get myself some valuable experience and mark on the check list- Been there, done that. Lol.

Penang Bridge International Marathon

Penang Bridge International Marathon

There are few categories in the run. The Penang Bridge run consists of 3 category;

- Women Open Half Marathon (21km) cost RM40

- Fun Run (5km) cost RM10

-Women Open Full Marathon (42km) cost RM60

For additional RM10 charges, they will have the service delivery to our house on the goodies bag/ race kits by courier. The goodies/ race kits will contain timing chip, t-shirt and running bib 3 weeks before the event day, so there will be no rush to get the stuff during the marathon day itself.

Registration for Penang Bridge Marathon

I am still in dilemma on which category should I choose to run. 5km fun run seems to be too short for me where else 21km seems to be never ending run for someone who never jogs or exercise regularly…yup, that’s mentioning me. And I am going to the Penang Bridge International Marathon.

Just see me on 22nd November, that’s like 258 days to go and you will be able to tell if I am able to make it. Afterall, there are still more than 200 days to practice….and I hope I will walk away with some lucky draw…car, house, cash….*Dreaming..
